As passionate outdoor enthusiast and skilled trail runner, Marko Herman holds a degree from the Faculty of Kinesiology and is a certified mountain guide, outdoor excursion leader, and sports climbing instructor. His lifelong love for sports and nature has made trail running the perfect fusion of his two greatest passions. 

What sets Marko apart

• Marko has participated in countless trail adventures, including representing Croatia at the European Skyrunning Championship in 2023. 
• He has also competed in world-renowned events like the UTMB, Lavaredo Ultra Trail, Istria 100, and many others.
• A pioneer of skyrunning in Croatia, Marko has expanded his expertise in recent years by creating and leading multi-day sailing and trail-running tours across the stunning Adriatic islands, combining his skills as a guide and event organizer with his love for exploration.

For more than a decade, Marko has been a trailblazer in the Croatian trail running community. As the founder and president of a local trail running club, he has directed several races and organized over 70 trail events.

Marko is deeply passionate about the history and traditions of his homeland and loves sharing this rich heritage with others. An avid traveler, he has explored much of the world, dedicating his time and resources to discovering new places and cultures.

Marko believes that the journey is more important than the stats. 

He tackles every climb with a positive attitude, often saying, “It’s not too steep!” He enjoys life’s simple pleasures—soaking in breathtaking views, indulging in chocolate, lingering over a cup of coffee Dalmatian-style, and bonding with animals and nature.
